9 Annoying Minor Movie Characters Everyone Wanted To Die
7. Doctor Silberman - Terminator 2
The Terminator franchise has had mixed fortunes over the years but the first two installments, without question deserve the tag of classics.
Yet there is one character who is not only annoying as hell but seems to cheat death at the hands of a Terminator regularly while others perish painfully and often horrifically. In the first movie, he escapes death by mere seconds as he exits the police station where he has been assessing Kyle Reese in between Arnold's "I'll be back" and him driving through the front of the station.
In Terminator 2, he is now treating Sarah Connor and while on the surface Sarah does belong there, you can't help but get the sense Silberman is keeping her there for his own reasons, maybe to write a book or as a prized research asset. Even if he's not aware of the abuse his orderlies are perpetrating, he's clearly not interested in the real welfare of Sarah.
During her escape attempt, he gets his arm broken and liquid rooter nearly put into his neck and then comes face to face with the T-1000, which has killed almost every other person it has come into contact with. Yet it leaves Silberman alone!
Why couldn't the T-1000 have taken Silberman's likeness during the sequence or kill him as their paths crossed. Perhaps such a cold blooded murder would have put the rating up too high so he was spared, but it's frustrating.
