9 Awesome Fan Theories About Avengers: Infinity War

8. The Terrigen Mists Are Unleashed To Give Earth More Heroes

In spite of the fact that the Avengers: Infinity War movies are undoubtedly going to be the most epic events in Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the movie that has been chosen to bring it to a close is Inhumans. It seems like a strange point to bring the Inhumans in (especially given that they already exist in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. television show, but that's another issue), but could it be that the stars of the Inhumans movie don't actually exist until Infinity War takes place, which would make their belated solo movie make more sense? It has been theorised that several heroes will have fallen by the time Avengers: Infinity War - Part Two is released, so the remaining heroes are desperate for assistance in the fight against Thanos. As a result, they unleash the Terrigen Mists on Earth - the Terrigen Mists being the thing that activates Inhuman powers - in order to create a new army of ready-made heroes to combat the Mad Titan. It would conveniently create a bunch of new Inhumans, just in time for their movie - and the fact that it would make them key heroes in the franchise might serve as a means of generating interest in it.
