9 Dumbest Things In Star Wars Original Trilogy

3. Ewoks Take Down The Emperor's Troops

Look, no one is saying that these little balls of fury weren't brave and rather innovative souls - they did use everything from massive log traps to gliding devices to combat the Empire on Endor, don't forget.

But it's still tough to accept that the teddy bear Rebel allies known as the Ewoks would have really been able to hold their own against the Emperor's best troops - equipped with blasters, walkers, and speed bikes - towards the end of Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.

And the minute the Ewoks show up to assist Han, Leia and the rest of the Rebels trying to blow up the Death Star II's shield generator on the forest moon, a wonderfully intense sequence quickly turns into a quite surreal and silly ground war.

It's evident why George Lucas wanted these savage fur-balls included in the picture to begin with - he wanted to move some cute toys and merchandise.

But their inclusion as the major reason the Rebels were able to blow up the shield generator during their mission to take down the second Death Star - instead of the originally planned Wookiees (via CBR) - just made a big chunk of the trilogy's final act feel jarringly cartoonish.
