9 Horrifying Questions About Toy Story That Should Really Bother You

5. What’s the deal with Sid’s toys?

Let’s put aside the likelihood that Sid endured years of guilt and psychological trauma due to the revelation that the items he destroyed and tortured were actually living beings. The important thing to focus on is the fact that Sid took apart toys and rebuilt them with different body parts from different toys.

And the toys were still alive afterwards!

First of all, this proves that even when toys’ heads are removed, they still survive, but it also raises the question of which toy is in control of the horrifying Frankenstein monsters. If one toy’s head is on another toy’s body, is the head able to control the legs? Do the legs dictate where the head moves? Are both of the toys’ consciousnesses fighting for control of the monster?

What makes this question unique is that there is no equivalence for humans. As far as I know, head transplants are impossible, so if you try to take off one person’s head and put it another person’s body, that creature will be dead. (Although if I am wrong, please let me know). To have a species that can survive being taken apart and rebuilt is fascinating. One would presume that the part with the head is in control, but seeing that toys probably don’t have brains, there’s really no reason why this should be the case.
