3. Gemma Arterton - Wrath Of The Titans

Remember 2010’s inexplicable and utterly soulless reboot of the classic eighties stop motion adventure Clash of the Titans, starring Avatar’s wooden leading man Sam Worthington as the dead-eyed saviour of ancient Greece? Murky and marred by both ugly effects and an unlikeable lead, the movie is really only remembered for wasting a stellar cast and replacing the original film’s marvellous miniature model work with some flat, shapeless, CG beasties.

As such it’s understandable that St Trinian’s leading lady Gemma Arterton opted not to return for the sequel to this dud, with the actor insisting that her character be killed off between films despite being the hero’s love interest.

Of course, the decision was well worth it as Arterton went on to star instead in—Oh.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, apparently.

Out of the clash and into the trash there, it would appear.
