9 Movie Heroes Who Stupidly Turned Evil For The Sequel

Kirsty Cotton is the much loved final girl of the Hellraiser series, who went through hell – quite literally in the second movie – but lived to tell the tale.

The Hellraiser movies started going straight to DVD around the time of part five, and actress Ashley Lawrence was lured back for part six, Hellseeker. In this story, Kirsty is the wife of the main character Trevor, and when she disappears following a car crash he tries to work through his amnesia to track her down.

To cut a long story short he’s really a cheating jerk who tried to kill her by making her open the dreaded puzzle box, but she instead made a deal with old mate Pinhead to trade five souls for hers. She murdered Trevor’s mistresses and him, and he was sent to hell for his crimes.

So, the innocent, strong-willed girl of the first two movies becomes a killer just for the sake of a “shock” ending. Surely a divorce would have worked just as well. Fans tend to ignore this movie, and Lawrence apparently won’t talk about it in interviews.
