9 Movie Sidekicks More Dangerous Than The Villain

7. Neville Longbottom - Harry Potter

Now before you head down to the comments section to angrily point out that wing-eared Neville actually turns out to be awesome, just wait a second and think about Mr. Longbottom. For a good few years, this guy does almost nothing but get things wrong and cause problems. Dumbledore may have given him a few house points for being brave enough to stand up to his mates, but he clearly wasn't looking when Longbottom was busy falling off brooms, melting other people's cauldrons or getting in the way of Voldemort prevention duties. Most notably, let's not forget the time he was daft enough to write down all of the passwords to the Gryffindor common room and lose them when there was a supposed mass murderer on the loose. What if Sirius really had wanted to kill Harry? Thanks a lot, Neville, you could have just cut the series short by four years. Neville can be commended for his loyalty and - over time - his bravery, but up until the point where he finally stops being a nervous wreck and turns out to be a bad-ass, he's just a liability, continuously acting as a threat to Harry's exploits with more efficiency than even the likes of Malfoy, Crabbe or Goyle. Go back to bed, Neville.
