6. The Monster From Cloverfield Isn't In 10 Cloverfield Lane
It's still hard to believe that J.J. Abrams managed to get a Cloverfield spin-off made and kept it under wraps until less than two months before it was due to hit cinemas. Though Abrams has referred to 10 Clovefield Lane as a "blood relative" of the classic 2009 found footage movie, he also let slip in a recent interview that the monster we kinda-see in the trailer is 100% not the same monster from Cloverfield. Abrams said, While the Cloverfield monster isnt in this movie, theres a new monster and theres something else that happensbut I dont want to ruin the ending. It may be disappointing to some to learn that the monster from the first film won't be stomping around this time, but we'll almost certainly be meeting one of his friends or family members, so does it really matter?
