6. Making Odin Weak In Battle (Or Not Having Him Fight At All)
We've yet to see what the MCU's Odin is really capable of and it's about time that changed. In the comics, Odin's power and ability as a fighter dwarfs that of Thor's. He is a character who is confirmed as being able to shatter entire galaxies as a mere side effect of his most fierce battles. You're not misreading that; the collateral damage when Odin fights can be to the extent that entire galaxies are destroyed (such as in his fight with fellow god, Seth). The Allfather has been shown as being capable of going toe-to-toe with the the planet-devouring Galactus in a one-on-one battle and is more powerful than characters such as Thanos. On that note, if Odin does decide to get his hands dirty in this movie (and he really should if the entire universe is at risk), it would be massively disappointing - even more so than the Mandarin turning out to be an alcoholic British actor - if he turns out to be weaker than his son. It would be even worse if he didn't help with the fight at all.
