A Bad Moms Christmas Review: 3 Ups & 6 Downs

1. It's Fine...For A Christmas Movie

All things considered, A Bad Moms Christmas is not a good movie in any conceivable sense, but is it offensively terrible? Absolutely not. And more to the point, given how low-effort most Christmas movies are, it's really fine for the genre's incredibly low standards.

Yes, it's too sappy and too many jokes don't land, but you've got Kathryn Hahn waxing a guy's nether-regions in an hilariously prolonged sequence, Christine Baranski being her sassy best, and if nothing else, it'll surely get you in the Christmas mood at least a little bit. It's a hard movie to actively hate.

You might be left wondering why on Earth a Christmas film is coming out at the start of November, sure, and you might not catch this one at the cinema, but as a Netflix viewing next Christmas? It'll do just fine, especially if you've got a belly full of turkey and eggnog already.
