Age Of Ultron: 10 Unlikely Things That Could Be Referenced

8. The Phalanx

Marvel ComicsMarvel ComicsThe Phalanx are definitely not going to be a part of the main body of this movie - it appears as though Ultron will have his standard Ultron-drones as his "henchmen" in the movie itself - but, once Ultron is inevitably defeated, wouldn't it be cool if he reappears in or after the credits putting together a new army - namely the Phalanx - in deep space? After Ultron's body is beaten to a pulp by the Hulk and friends, his consciousness may remain, and he could rebuild himself and jet off in to the cosmos to look for reinforcements and/or technology to help him come back stronger than ever - after all, it seems unlikely that Ultron won't be able to log/hack in to Earth's databases/the world wide web and learn about the existence of alien life, considering the fact that Earth was invaded in the first Avengers movie and agencies like S.H.I.E.L.D. have all that kind of information on file. It would be a truly epic post-credits scene if the camera was focused on Ultron as he gave instructions to an unseen group, only for the camera to pan out to reveal thousands of Phalanx ready to wage war on whatever civilisation Ultron told them to - just as they have when under his leadership in the comic books.
