8. We Finally Get To See A Game Of Chess
Tim Burton included loads of great stuff from Lewis Carrolls books and from the Disney animated version in his film. But you can never include everything, and it left James Bobin and writer Linda Woolverton plenty of material to mine for the sequel. The first book, Disneys animated film, and Tim Burtons live-action version all feature a deck of cards among their characters/themes. Carrolls second book instead has a game of chess running through. And that game will be getting the live-action treatment with pieces that are alive and significantly taller than Alice herself.
Movie / TV enthusiast with a DVD and Blu-ray collection bigger than I'd care to admit. If anyone is offering creative / furniture solutions to house them, I'm all ears.
