22. The Mad Hatter Has Brushed His Hair
Theory: This scene is from the past. Absolems voiceover, Friends cannot be neglected, feels designed to make you think this shot is in the present, and that the Mad Hatter needs Alices help. But maybe that's to intentionally mislead us? The wild look of the Mad Hatters hair is one of his unique features, bound up with his madness. His hair shoots out to the sides in the first film, even when you see him without a hat on. If hes been brushing his hair, youre inclined to think this is either, a) Set in the past, or b) If its set in the present, hes decided to tame his hair for part of the movie, because his hair for most of the rest of the trailer still has a mind of its own.
