All The Fox Film Franchises Disney Now Owns
16. Night At The Museum
Another family-friendly series closely associated with Chris Columbus (he produced the trilogy alongside director Shawn Levy), the 2006 comedy adventure about museum exhibits coming to life at night proved a box office smash in spite of lukewarm reviews.
Two sequels followed, and the series wound up grossing upwards of $1.31 billion - although all involved, including director Levy (who's since earned considerably greater street cred for his work on Stranger Things) and star Ben Stiller, seem keen to leave it at a trilogy.
Still, it's family-friendly fun, something Disney are all about, and of course it's earned a ton of money - so might they be interested in bringing the series back to life once again?
