Ant-Man And The Wasp: Is The Sequel Better Than The Original?
3. Mid Credit Scenes
We need to talk about that post-credit scene. Ant-Man and The Wasp spends two hours luring the audience into a false sense of security, forgetting all about the horrors of Infinity War and Thanos' snap. Then out of nowhere, our hearts are broken and we are reminded that the MCU is not all giant ants and Michael Pena.
This does exactly what it is meant to do. Seeing the remains of Hank, Janet, and Hope floating into the sky teases the future of the characters, and the audience leaves the cinema even more excited (and or devastated) for the future of the MCU.
This is not to say that Ant-Man's mid-credit scene was bad. In fact, it was quite the opposite. We had already seen Falcon show up, but seeing Cap and Bucky brought new levels of excitement, and teasing Lang's involvement in Civil War was music to the audience's collective ears.
There is just nothing that compete with the snap. Ant-Man and The Wasp boasts the best and most shocking mid-credit scene in recent years across the whole MCU.
