Aquaman: 10 Reasons To Be Excited

You may not have noticed, but this film has a pretty star-studded cast. Going beyond Jason Mamoa and Amber Heard, you've also got Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman, Dolph Lundgren, Willem Dafoe, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II filling out the list of onscreen talent. A cast full of both established talent and potential breakout stars, with each of them worthy of appearances beyond just this first installment.

Mamoa looks to be providing his natural charm and charisma in the leading role, complemented well by Amber Heard's no-nonsense Mera. Wilson looks to be providing much of his stage presence and rarely-seen intimidation skills as he plays Arthur's half-brother and current leader of Atlantis. Dafoe, Kidman, and Lundgren will fill out the rest of the cast nicely as they serve as worthy mentors and authoritative figures with plenty of personality.

There's no lacking for talent in any part of this cast, so regardless of whether any certain part is underwritten or fully fleshed out, you can bet that these performers will do great work with what they're given.
