Aquaman: 23 WTF Moments
5. Yeah, Just Wear That Dead Guy's Outfit, That's Fine
After Arthur recovers the Trident from King Atlan in the Trench, despite the Karathen's best efforts to not believe he's the Chosen One, the dead king's skeleton crumbles away to dust and he's seemingly able to find peace as Arthur takes up his rightful status as the One True King.
At this point, Arthur seems to think that the best course of action is to take off his clothes and put the costume of his dead ancestor on. Nobody tells him that he has to in order to be the Aquaman. Nobody even mentions that it's a requirement of wielding the Trident. There's not even a scene that shows him choosing to do so, in order to even vaguely hint at why he thought it was okay to put the dead guy's clothes on.
Basically, it's just super weird.
