Army Of The Dead: Every Crew Member Ranked Worst To Best
4. Marianne Peters
This role has fascinating context behind it, as Tig Notaro found herself inserted into the film after Chris D'Elia was removed from the flick. The fact that Notaro was inserted digitally is mind-blowing, not only because the transition was flawless but because she had such chemistry with the actors.
Those familiar with her work were jumping for joy when she was cast, as the infamously deadpan comedian has some of the best comic timing in the business, and she put it to great use here.
Peters was instantly likeable as their introduction saw them immediately sign onto the mission with no regard for what it was because they wanted to get out of their dead-end job. This brash helicopter pilot would crack some great one-liners and had an evident self-centred personality.
In the end, she even got a character redemption arc, as her desire to take care of herself constantly teased that she'd leave everyone behind and pilot her chopper away to save her bacon. But in the end, she stepped up and saved the day, making her eventual death all the more poetic.
Adding Notaro into this movie might have been tricky and expensive, but it was totally worth it.
