5. The Iron Legion (Iron Man 3)

Taking a step closer to the creation of Ultron drones by Tony Stark himself, Iron Man 3 saw the first unmanned Iron Legion - the army of varying Iron Man armours that came to Stark's aid in the final battle against Aldrich Killian and his army of Extremis-powered soldiers on the oil tanker. The scene represented the first time an army of Stark's creations proved that they could work together for the forces of good and may well have provided him with the inspiration to create the Ultron drones that will ultimately turn against him. It goes without saying that scene in which the Iron Legion show up is very reminiscent of certain scenes in the Age of Ultron trailer, and on the Age of Ultron posters, which show armies of Ultron drones swarming the skies. It proved that Stark's creations could work unmanned and en masse, which is exactly what is going to happen in Age of Ultron - albeit in extremely different circumstances.
