2. The New Avengers Form

What Happens: The film's final scene sees the New Avengers Facility getting set up, with Nick Fury, Maria Hill and Eric Selvig in key behind-the-scenes roles, all culminating in revealing who's in Captain America and Black Widow's new team; War Machine, Vision, Scarlet Witch and Falcon. What Does It Mean: With Fury and Hill in command positions and a massive base containing more than just supers, the New Avengers looks like it'll essentially operate as a newer version of S.H.I.E.L.D. - albeit one under the control of heroes, and thus unlikely to find itself falling into morally grey waters again. As for the new team, it looks like these are going to be the Avengers going forward, likely forming the core group of Steve Rogers' anti-registration faction in Captain America: Civil War. Although how long they remain the main team is unclear; Avengers: Infinity War will see both Thor and Iron Man return to the fold, while (as previously stated) Vision's fate not exactly certain in those events.
