3. Spider-Man

Who Is He? Let's not insult anyone's intelligence by assuming you don't know who Spider-Man is - you obviously do - but for the purposes of consistency we'll remind you. Spider-Man is Peter Parker - a student and scientific genius from New York. He is bitten by a radioactive spider at a science exhibition and gains the proportional strength of a spider, as well as the abilities of wall-crawling and a spider-sense that warns him of any ensuing danger. He makes himself a pair of web-shooters and becomes a hero - one of the most famous in all of fiction, nonetheless. Why He'll Be Missed Spider-Man is owned by Sony and is currently the star character in his own ongoing franchise, although people would love to see him as part of the Avengers, or the Marvel Cinematic Universe in general. In this story however, he is held captive by the supervillains Owl and Hammerhead as they intend to hand him over to Ultron in exchange for their own safety. When Spidey's fellow heroes learn that Ultron is accepting sacrifices of this nature, they come up with a ploy that sees Luke Cage pretending to hand She-Hulk over to him in order to infiltrate the evil robot's base. Spider-Man is, therefore, a key element of this story in the comic book.
