At this point, it is pretty well known that the former villains and Avengers Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are the twin children of Magneto and his believed and estranged wife Magda. However, while Magneto was traipsing around the world being a bad-ass super terrorist and his wife was very dead, the questions looms as to who was raising the kids. Well, as it turns out there is a very real, very strange answer to that question. It was Bova, one of the chimera "New Men" created by the High Evolutionary at Wundagore Mountain in Marvel's very strange version of Europe, who was basically a cow-person. She delivered the children to Magda who was on the run, and in fear of her husband. Seeing that giant talking cows were pretty normal folks, she left the children with Bova and her husband Bob who placed the children in suspended animation before pawning them off on some traveling gypsies.
