Marvel President Kevin Feige has suggested that Hawkeye will have a key role in Avengers: Age of Ultron. A more prominent role for Jeremy Renner's character will certainly go a long way towards appeasing fans of Hawkeye who were disappointed with his treatment in the first Avengers movie, in which he spent the majority of time under the control of Loki. Hawkeye has demonstrated a perfect aim in his appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date and that could be the key to Ultron's demise in this movie. If Ultron has a single weak spot on his body or a computer with a button that triggers a self-destruct mechanism inside him, Hawkeye's ability to exploit these things from range with his arrow-firing accuracy may well be vital. Indeed, on the cover of the Age of Ultron comic book arc trade paperback, Hawkeye is seen pointing his trademark bow towards the villain in a reflection on his shiny, metallic head. Could that be a bit of foreshadowing on Marvel's part about the outcome of the movie of the same name? Only time will tell.
