Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 10 Ways The Heroes Could Save The Day

4. Iron Man - Mans Up And Shuts Ultron Down

Having already been shown to be in a fragile mental state in Iron Man 3, if Tony Stark turns out to be responsible for the creation Ultron, he could be driven to a state of catatonia or, perhaps even worse, the alcoholism he is so well-known for in the comic books. Consequently, he won't be in any fit state to combat his creation as it attempts to take over the world (which would be a shame, given that he would likely be the only person with the knowledge of how to stop it). So, it might take something terrible happening - like the death or kidnap of a loved one or a fellow Avenger - but something bad may need to happen for Stark to snap out of his useless state and inform the Avengers about what is needed to take Ultron down. Hell, he might even do it himself. Stark was the hero in the last Avengers movie when he redirected S.H.I.E.L.D.'s nuclear missile in to Loki's portal, where it would destroy the Chitauri mothership, so it would be somewhat repetitive for him to be that guy again. That said, don't rule that possibility out.
