Avengers: Endgame - 10 Huge Controversies Nobody Saw Coming

3. A-Force

A-Force is the name of the all female Avengers squad, who had tribute paid to them in Endgame’s climactic battle.

Within days of the movie’s release, the internet was awash with articles detailing why it was great, terrible, a cop out, too much fan service, not enough fan service... the list is endless.

Perhaps the best example of its influence though was the influx of A-Force drawings by little girls doing the rounds online.

Criticisms of this moment tend to be two fold. Firstly, that Captain Marvel likely doesn’t need much help, so the ‘she’s got help line’ doesn’t work as well as it might have if Shuri or Nebula had been holding the gauntlet.

That’s fair, but do we really think everyone heard Steve’s ‘Avengers assemble’?

Secondly, the likelihood that all the women would be gathered together is slim, making the moment unrealistic in a movie where superheroes return from the dead to fight a time travelling alien.

Again, while that criticism has merit, nobody really complained about why the original Avengers were stood in a circle or leaping through the air at the same time in Avengers or Age Of Ultron.
