Avengers: Endgame - Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

12. Good Nebula

After years or struggling with some of the most severe Daddy issues ever seen in the MCU (and that's saying something), Nebula got her chance to face down her father in Endgame and didn't really take it. She met the 2018 version and confirmed he wasn't a liar (and at least got some validation from him when he called her daughter) and then ended up his 2014 alternate's captive.

The whole crossed head WiFi wires conceit was a little goofy, but it served too much of a purpose to drop and her coming into contact with Thanos and Gamora allowed her to play a much more important role in the narrative than we might have expected. She also got to kill her own evil past self too, which is a nice, if slightly on-the-nose bit of symbolism.

11. Captain Marvel

The Russos always had a problem with Captain Marvel and they were quite happy to announce as much before the film was released. She's just too powerful and adding her to the equation added a nuke to the Avengers' arsenal that would have to be dampened.

The solution was to simply have her commit herself to the entire universe rather than just the Earth, which is smart, since it didn't compromise her powers, but it did mean she didn't get nearly enough screen time for her new fans.

What she did get, though, were some real air punch moments, like no-selling a Thanos headbutt and single-handedly taking down his ship. And the decision to give her a new haircut was surprisingly brilliant.
