Avengers: Endgame - Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

8. Korg & Miek

After they stole Thor: Ragnarok - no mean feat considering how entertaining that film is as a whole - it was always likely that Korg and Miek would return and the scene given to them (their part in the final battle is too brief to really be of any note) is as hilarious as their work in the Thor sequel.

Having the two supremely skilled warriors effectively reimagined as Thor's frat-house buddies who play Fortnite, eat pizza and drink is just glorious. Plus the "d*ckhead" line might well be the film's funniest. More importantly, they're also there to protect Thor - as we see when Hulk mentions Thanos - almost like they've not just appointed themselves as his friends but also as his minders.

7. 2014 Thanos

While his card was always marked and 2014 Thanos wasn't quite as complex as his 2018 counterpart, he's still a great villain who serves his purpose of retaining the film's required villain element without getting in the way of the heroes' story too much until it's necessary to build to the climax.

The decision to remove some of his nuance but then refocus his plan into one of total universal reconstruction because of the defiant, enduring will of the survivors he left behind means we don't just get a retread of the end of Infinity War.

And yes, he's nerfed slightly, but that doesn't mean his death loses anything at all.
