Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Things That Must Happen In Part 2
8. Loki Must Betray Thanos
It's not known yet whether Loki - Thor's tricksy half-brother - will team up with the Avengers in order to defeat Thanos, or join Thanos in an attempt to assemble the Infinity Gauntlet as his right-hand man. Though it'd be pretty cool to see Loki as a fully-fledged member of the superhero team, that version of events seems a tad unlikely. What's more likely, then? Well, that Loki will join Thanos in his pursuit of the Infinity Stones, but will betray him in the process - either he will try to steal the Infinity Gauntlet from Thanos directly, or he'll manipulate the Avengers into destroying Thanos so that he can take the Stones for himself when all the fighting is over (the most foreseeable outcome). Loki's agenda is never straight-forward, of course, so he'll be playing the angles to his advantage no matter what happens. But expect him to betray Thanos, 'cause Loki.
