Avengers: Infinity War: 10 Things That Must Happen

2. We See The True Power Of The Infinity Stones

With all this talk about the importance and destructive capability of the five Infinity Stones, it's getting harder and harder for Marvel to meet our expectations. We've seen them cause a few problems in the past, from the Tesseract space portal in The Avengers to... whatever The Aether did in Thor: The Dark World, but we're still waiting for them to do something that justifies a god-like being like Thanos wanting to hunt them down so badly.

We already know that he will successfully unite the five gems - last year, a high-res image of him wielding them was released. But why does Thanos - a being with superhuman strength - need them? They have to match and exceed his immense power to make them a necessary weapon, and Marvel must show us that they can do just that.

So rather than that weak purple blast in Guardians Of The Galaxy or the near-useless Aether in Thor: The Dark World, let's see the Infinity Stones absolutely devastate the Earth, cutting through buildings like butter and turning cities to ash in an instant.

Their power isn't exactly clear yet and we still haven't been introduced to all of them, but one thing is certain; the Infinity Stones must prove worthy of their place in the title of the movie.
