6. Rocket's Reaction Is Most Heart-Breaking Of All

In the wake of the snap, when Thanos' victims are fading, watching how the others react is part of what really sells the tragedy. We have to watch Steve lose Bucky again, War Machine loses his new best friend Sam, Okoye loses her King and Tony Stark witnesses Doctor Strange effectively trade his life for his own and then Peter Parker's heartbreaking end.

But it's Rocket's reaction to Groot dying once more that is the most profoundly sad moment of all and not just in the "oh no" exclamation he lets out as Groot fades.

In the aftermath, just before Steve Rogers says "oh God" sadly, Rocket can be seen sitting on a log in the background, completely broken by what he's just seen, with his head bowed. It's completely devastating to behold, especially when you consider this is the SECOND time he's had to watch his best friend die.
