12. Rhodey Gets Better

You could be forgiven for thinking that Don Cheadle's James Rhodes would be sitting out Infinity War, given the fact that Vision accidentally removed the function of his legs by shooting him out of the sky in Civil War. He's probably not going to be an active member of the Avengers without that, even with the weight of Tony Stark's inventions behind him - it would just be irresponsible.

But think again.

Fandango spoke to Cheadle after the Marvel Studios panel at D23 and confirmed that Rhodey will recover - to some extent - and War Machine may well return:

"Obviously at the end of Civil War, with what happened with War Machine, Rhodey's character has a lot to overcome. There's a progression to the movies, without being specific and telling you what it is, there's a progression and he gets back up."

Quite what the nature of that progression is remains to be seen, but it's obviously a spoiler. Could it be that the Reality Stone is used to change reality? Or maybe Doctor Strange fixes him? Who knows.
