14. Why Did Odin Have a Fake Gauntlet Years Before It Was Even Made?

Loki getting the Mind Stone in The Avengers isn't the only plothole that will have caused Kevin Feige and the Russos some headaches. The other was the existence of the fake Gauntlet that turned up in Thor and was subsequently confirmed as a fake in Thor: Ragnarok.

But, that solved nothing because Infinity War reveals that Thanos only had the Gauntlet forged by Eitri relatively recently (otherwise you'd think Thor would have heard about it, particularly as Heimdall would have seen it if he was in his position guarding the Bifrost).

So if there wasn't even a real Gauntlet until recently, how the hell was there a fake one first. And how did Hela know it was fake if the real one didn't exist yet? And if Eitri hadn't designed it until Thanos charged him with making something capable of harnessing the combined power of the Stones, how did it look EXACTLY the same as the fake?

Are we supposed to believe that the fake one actually inspired the design of the real one?!
