Avengers: Infinity War - Predicting The Fate Of Every Avenger

8. Ant-Man

Ant-Man might just be the ace up the Avengers' sleeve.

He can shrink to an impossibly tiny size, which could cause Thanos all kinds of problems (maybe he could even clamber onto the Gauntlet and pry off one of the Stones?) but he can also grow to an immense height as seen in Captain America: Civil War, which might just give him the ability to overpower a Gauntlet-less Mad Titan in a physical standoff.

What Will Happen To Him? Since Ant-Man has a sequel due out in July of 2018 - or, to put it another way, 2 months after Infinity War opens - his fate is one of the easiest to predict; he's safe.

Much like some of the other characters we've mentioned, Infinity War won't give Ant-Man a huge character arc or emotional journey. With a solo movie coming out soon after, what would be the point? Infinity War's screentime would be better used on other characters, like Hulk, who we don't see as often.

However, because Marvel are giving Ant-Man a sequel and the character is becoming more and more popular, we do expect Infinity War to push him more as a main Avengers member.

When some of the long-standing Avengers step down, or are forcibly retired (we'll get to those soon) newer characters, like Ant-Man, will rise to take their place, and we'll see the start of this in Infinity War.
