Black Panther is the last solo movie due out before Infinity War, so depending on how that film ends, the character may be in a very different place by the time Infinity War begins.

However, he'll obviously survive his own movie and he'll almost certainly defeat the villain (Michael B. Jordan's Killmonger), so once Infinity War starts, his people will view him as a worthy King of Wakanda, with Panther having earned their respect.

What Will Happen To Him? In Infinity War, Wakanda will be targeted by Thanos' forces (similar to the Marvel comics event 'Infinity') on account of its powerful people and valuable resources; to control Wakanda would make it easier to control Earth.

But not so fast! T'Challa will step up and defend his people and his home. He won't see any direct action against Thanos in Infinity War, but he, along with Bucky, will fight to protect Wakanda against his followers.

Black Panther will make it out of the movie alive, but Wakanda will be near-devastated (and Bucky killed), after a long, arduous battle.
