Avengers: Infinity War - Predicting The Fate Of Every Avenger

6. Doctor Strange

Though Doctor Strange relied heavily on the Eye Of Agamotto - or, the Time Stone - to make it out of his movie alive, he's no longer in possession of it, having returned it to Kamar-Taj for safekeeping.

But, let's face it; it won't be staying there for very long. Really, the only question is who will take it first - Thanos, or Strange?

Since Thanos is in space and the Time Stone is on Earth, it makes sense that Strange would reach it first, but that might be a mistake.

The SDCC footage contained a shot of Strange and Star-Lord battling Thanos on an alien planet, so if Strange does have the Time Stone here, he's essentially delivered it to the villain. D'oh.

What Will Happen To Him? Since Strange is one of the newer Avengers, there's no way he'll be killed off - he's the future of the MCU.

Like Ant-Man, he'll be pushed into more of a leading role as Infinity War progresses, as some of the older Avengers fade from the spotlight.

Since Thanos will come to possess the Time Stone at some point, Strange won't be able to rely on any time-bending trickery to save the day this time - which is a nice lesson for the character to learn, especially after how easy the finale of Doctor Strange felt - and will instead have to use his other magic.

But will time manipulation come into play, at all? We doubt it - or at least, the good guys won't be using those powers. It might feel a little cheap to resolve the biggest movie in the MCU (and an event that's been years in the making) by just rewinding time.
