Batman: Every Main Live-Action Movie Suit Ranked
10. Batman (1966)
The improvements made to the Dark Knight's suit in the comics also allowed for the live action adaptations to make strides.
Adam West's version of Batman benefitted from being filmed in color, and the impact was great. The bright yellow Bat symbol and belt, dark blue cape, cowl and gloves, as well as the grey body suit all came together to form a truly iconic look. Another bonus is that this costume fit well into the light-hearted, cheesier tone of the film. West does look a tad silly as the Caped Crusader, but he gets into goofy situations as well, which makes it fun.
Although it is iconic, this suit still has its share of issues. Bats is still largely unprotected against his adversaries, except for his identity. He's still running around Gotham in what is equivalent to adult pyjamas. It is neither intimidating or particularly useful. Apart from the utility belt housing gadgets, the suit doesn't provide many abilities that aid Bruce during his crime fighting. In spite of all this, it still remains a classic take on the character and one that many fans cherish.
