Batman Ninja Review: 5 Ups & 4 Downs
2. The Entertaining Vocal Performances
Though there are sure to be arguments about certain voice actors' performances in the film, for the most part the cast does a totally respectable job bringing these icons to life.
Roger Craig Smith may not be your favourite Batman, but brings a grizzled, Bryan Cranston-esque quality to the Caped Crusader that suits the movie's tone exceptionally well.
Arrested Development and Veep's Tony Hale is meanwhile a totally left-field choice for The Joker, but delivers a splendidly unhinged rendition that stands respectably alongside the more iconic spoken portrayals of the Clown Prince of Crime.
Tara Strong is of course a veteran Harley Quinn at this point and turns in exactly the quality performance you'd expect, and Grey Griffin's Catwoman pays homage to previous iterations of the character without going relentlessly campy.
While the material itself hamstrings the actors to a point, the talent is clearly giving it their all from top to bottom.
