Batman Reboot: 10 Essential Villains And Who Should Play Them

7. Deadshot - Idris Elba

idris elba Floyd Lawton - better known as Deadshot - is a gun for hire, known for being the deadliest and greatest gunman shot in the world. His origin isn€™t too important and - in my opinion - not really a good origin as portrayed in the comics. It can be reinvented. The significance of Lawton is his abilities and skills as a nemesis for Batman. He€™s an expert tracker, marksman and assassin who never misses. Obviously, Batman is the one person who€™s made him miss. It would be exciting to see Batman try and evade assassination attempts from a top tier killer. Also, a detective aspect can be brought out of Batman by Deadshot. Bats may have to use his sleuth skills to track a killer who€™s been targeting certain Gothamites. Utilizing forensics and sheer detective work, Batman finds out its Deadshot. Deadshot would be obsessed with perfection as he tries to uphold his reputation. To play him? Idris Elba, who - at first - might seem like an odd choice. Obviously, he€™s black and Deadshot is white, which doesn€™t matter. Man of Steel, which is set to hit theaters this summer, has shaken up classic character portrayals with Perry White being played Laurence Fishburne and Jimmy Olsen being portrayed as a woman in Jenny Olsen. There€™s no problem with a charge of race. Also, to point out, Elba has even been considered for James Bond in the future. His acting ability is unquestionable. His BBC thriller Luther attests to that (please watch this show if you haven€™t). He was great in Takers, Thor, and Prometheus. He€™s greatly known for his work on The Wire. I just imagine him in this role as a hardened assassin. The guy can get into any role he pursues or does. Plus, he would look cool with an array of weapons at his disposal.
