10. Whos Scoot McNairy Playing?
For such a small concern, its astounding how long this question has been up in the air. Every since McNairy was photographed with massive green socks on his legs, presumably to digitally alter them somehow, speculation has run rampant about his role. And while initial guesses had him pegged as anyone from Nightwing to Metallo, it looks like a few recent glimpses at him in the trailers have given a clearer picture of who he's playing. Seen sitting in the courthouse in a wheelchair and below the statue of Superman, it's fairly clear that McNairy is there to testify in some capacity against Superman. This would line up with a recent rumour suggesting he's just an average citizen who was injured in the Battle Of Metropolis and is eventually corrupted by Lex Luthor into some sort of human bomb. While there's still some dwindling hope that he's playing an injured Jimmy Olsen as initially rumoured, it's looking harder and harder to believe that. No matter the case, its a credit that theyve kept his role a secret this long, and even if it turns out to be of no consequence, just the guessing game has been enjoyable.
