4. Ma Kent Is In Danger From Him
As with any plot rumour, this needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but its been speculated that at some point in the movie, Lex Luthor is going to kidnap Supermans mother, Martha Kent. As someone who doesnt just want to beat Superman, but completely eviscerate every facet of his being, this would definitely fall in line with the type of plots Luthor is known for. If true, this would also speak to a larger revelation - that Luthor likely knows that Clark Kent is Superman. Why else would he go to all this trouble to take a random woman from a farm in the middle of nowhere? This act would certainly get under Clarks skin. We did see how he blew up at Zod when he tried something similar last time. It would also definitely explain the so-called manipulating that Luthor is doing according to the plot synopsis. Superman would do anything to protect his mother, likely even kneel at the feet of Lex Luthor as we saw in the trailer.
