Batman V Superman: 10 Wild Rumours That Could Happen
2. Jason Todd Is The Joker
What if that dip in the Lazarus pit did something much worse to the fallen hero?
A lot of complaints over The Joker’s DCCU look could well be silenced with the reveal that he is not the original Joker. Jason, angry at his death and twisted by the pit, assumes the mantle of The Joker in an effort to hit back at his former mentor. It’s already been mentioned that Jason Todd could be behind the mysterious messages sent to Bruce, but he could also be responsible for defacing his old costume - the joke really is on Batman.
The ‘J’ tattoo on the The Joker’s cheek is also eerily similar to a scar Jason Todd has in Batman: Arkham Knight video game and the Robin tattoo on his arm could be a nod to his past life rather than a death inflicted. Plus he could be who Ben Affleck is referring to in the trailer when he says "Twenty years in Gotham. How many good guys are left? How many stayed that way?"
With so much already going on it is highly unlikely the big reveal will happen during the film, but if this is indeed the case, expect the groundwork to be laid down like a trail of bread crumbs.
