Batman V Superman: 10 Wild Rumours That Could Happen

It has been long reported that Ben Affleck’s Batman would not only be a seasoned, grizzly veteran, but far more ruthless than previous incarnations of the character – backed up in the recent trailer by a criminal with a bat branded on his chest – but there is a possibility Batman goes much farther and breaks his no-kill policy.

The first rumblings of this rumour began after the teaser was released that showed what appeared to be the Batwing firing on a street and Batman stood on top of a building holding a rifle (that alone breaking his no-guns policy). All these could be explained away, but in the latest trailer it appears to show Batman snapping the neck of a soldier at the 2:40 mark, ringing true to the rumours that Batman now kills.

To say Zack Snyder would be taking liberties with the source material would be an understatement - Batman’s code of honour is arguably the most important part of his mythology, especially when considering Christopher Nolan built his entire trilogy around his refusal to kill.

If this is the case it definitely rings true to Nolan’s The Dark Knight’s line "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain" - seriously, what is with DC and broken necks?
