Batman V Superman: 7 Reasons Ben Affleck Is The Best Batman Ever
6. He Really Looks The Part
When it comes to movie adaptations, Bruce Wayne doesn't necessarily need to look like the character as depicted in the comics, because, hey, he's usually rendered with coloured ink and black lines which means that there's room for interpretation. That said, Ben Affleck does have the handsome, chiseled, square-jawed appearance that renders him more suitable in the role of Bruce Wayne than most of the actors who have played him to date. Affleck has the "look" of the best-known comic book incarnations of Wayne down to a tee, which really helps when it comes to convincing audiences that he's the character during the evens of Batman v Superman. Christian Bale was a good Batman, but he didn't feel like Bruce Wayne from an aesthetic perspective. Affleck does, and his looks presumably served as one of the reasons why he was cast in the film in the first place. It's not the only reason he makes the best Batman to date, of course, but his physical similarities with the character certainly help. Just look at that chin, for God's sake! It was clearly meant to be.
