Batman V Superman: 8 Post-Credit Stingers That Could Happen

5. Our First Look At Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds may have recently received his redemption, but Green Lantern is still waiting. A terrible 2011 outing not only ended that particular franchise, it ended Reynolds' stint in the role, leaving the door open for another actor to jump in. Past rumors have pointed to Denzel Washington, Tyrese and even Chris Pine, before he was cast as Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman. As of writing, the role has not yet been cast, despite a Green Lantern Corps. movie scheduled for release in 2020. It's odd to schedule a movie for 2020 (and two Justice League movies prior to this) without having cast one your main hero. Every other member of the Justice League has a face to match the character, but Green Lantern remains suspiciously absent from that club. Whether it's embarrassment over his last appearance on the silver-screen or a simple case of poor timing, Warner Bros. remains stubbornly quiet on the subject. Luckily for them, they have the perfect chance to reveal the actor behind the green, CGI mask, with a bang. Deliver a great movie with Batman v Superman, and plonk him in your post credit-scene - hopefully, audiences are so pumped from the movie that they completely forget about Reynolds, and can accept this new actor with open fanboy arms.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
