Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice - 10 Major Concerns Fans Still Have

8. Batfleck

Since Batman v Superman was first announced, no piece of news surrounding the film€™s development has been more immediately controversial than the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman. Those stuck in the early 2000s argued how he €œruined€ Daredevil as they started online petitions to block Affleck€™s return to the superhero movie genre. Much of the anger towards €œBatfleck€ has subsided. Early marketing images show how great he looks in the batsuit and spy photos from the set have Affleck looking just as pitch perfect in Bruce Wayne€™s civilian garb. His more recent acting résumé (Argo, The Town, etc.) shows that his skills have developed enough to ensure Affleck will do more than just look the part. The issue really lies with the audience€™s ability to accept a new Batman within 4 years of the last one. The Dark Knight Trilogy and its Batman, Christian Bale, are beloved the world over and continuity changes are going out of style, if we€™re to believe the reaction to Sony€™s The Amazing Spider-Man series is the start of a trend. The good news is that audiences have readily accepted more actors as Batman than they have for any other superhero in the history of the genre. If Ben brings his €œA€ game, any problems Batman v Superman may have won€™t come from the guy who got top billing.
