6. The Joker Kills Robin

It was a rumour for a very long time, but the Batman v Superman trailer confirmed that in the DC Cinematic Universe, The Joker is indeed responsible for killing Robin. It's not clear how close to the comic books Zack Snyder is going to stick - it could be that in this world the villain murdered Dick Grayson instead of Jason Todd for example - but we were all delighted to see that Bruce Wayne has his former sidekick's costume on display in the Batcave, albeit with a taunting message which isn't something which originates from the source material. It's worth noting that as rumours about the costume being in the movie were true, similar reports which claimed that flashback will depict Robin's death may also be accurate. What this will ultimately mean for the movie is going to be interesting to see, especially as Jena Malone is expected to become the new Robin, Carrie Kelly. Then of course, there are rumours that Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns' upcoming solo movie starring the Caped Crusader will deal with Robin's return as the Red Hood! Whatever the answer, here's hoping that fan theories about The Joker actually being Dick - similar to what happened in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Strikes Again - aren't correct...
