8. Jena Malone's Character Is Finally Revealed
There was rampant speculation online ahead of the theatrical release as to whether Jena Malone might be playing Robin or Barbara Gordon, and this was only exacerbated when it was revealed that she wouldn't be appearing until the Ultimate Edition's release.
Well, it's disappointing that Malone plays neither but instead a forensic expert by the name of Jenet Klyburn. A shame, yes, but she looks the part all the same and is clearly having fun in the role.
Klyburn appears for just two small scenes, helping Lois investigate the bullet she brought back from Nairomi, and later informing her that the bullet and Wallace Keefe's wheelchair were made from the same metal (both the doing of Lex Luthor), as well as the chair being lead-lined to stop Superman seeing through it.
The latter scene in particular is absolutely crucial in terms of explaining the senate explosion, and yet, we had to wait three extra months to see it.
