Batman vs Superman: 10 Reasons Jesse Eisenberg As Lex Luthor Is All Wrong

7. Eisenberg Has No Physical Presence

Super villains of Lex Luthor's stature emanate a presence. When they walk into a room, everyone knows it. Jesse Eisenberg is 5'7 and looks about 20. What's that going to look like in comparison to Henry Cavill who's 6'1 tall and Ben Affleck who comes in at a whopping 6'4?

I know Luthor is more about the brains, but Eisenberg doesn't even sound menacing. Give me Clancy Brown any day, the voice actor who played Luthor brilliantly in the numerous animated DC shows. Brown has more presence and gravitas with just his voice alone than Eisenberg does in his entire body, messy hair and all. Audiences need to believe that a non-powered business mogul has the balls to take on two of the world's most powerful heroes and win. I'd be surprised if Eisenberg could even convince in an arm wrestling contest against Krypto the dog.
