6. Idris Elba

One of the names constantly mentioned in relation to both James Bond and Doctor Who, Idris Elba would be fascinating as Bruce Wayne too. Not only would Elba bring a raging brutality to the character, he'd be skilled at the quieter, introspective moments of the man as well. At over six foot and 215 pounds, he'd be a very physical force, but would Warner Bros. really cast a black Batman? There was enough controversy when he landed the part of Heimdall in Thor, and this is a monumental role. That's something that Elba himself would probably want to avoid, given that he's fed up with being touted as "a possible black Bond" and not just "a possible Bond". Elba's a fantastic actor though, and would give an intriguing performance as Batman, regardless of the colour of his skin.
