Batman Vs. Superman Movie: 10 Villains That Would Pay Subtle Tribute To Nolan's Trilogy

2. Hugo Strange

We're closing in on the last two here and we start off with the unbalanced professor of science Hugo Strange. He's number two because the man is one of Batman's supervillians who always gets overshadowed by the more prominent nemesis like The Joker, The Riddler, Scarecrow and so on. And yet, Hugo Strange has all the makings of being a fantastic foe; if you've played the game Batman: Arkham City (and if you haven't, you need to get on that) then you'll know that monomaniacal Professor Strange can be a dangerous menace simply because of his genius-level brilliance. Examples from pop culture include always being among the first to identify who Batman is, and during the 1970s comic book run he used yoga to slow down his heart rate and fake his own death (seriously). Oh yeah, Hugo Strange has "died" probably more than any other Batman villain. Yet he always keeps coming back for more. In Snyder's Batman Vs. Superman, the uses for Professor Strange are almost infinite. He's had gangster ties with both Moroni and Falcone €“ there's your little bow to Nolan right there €“ because he's borrowed mob money to fund his ludicrous experiments always involving giant monsters. Strange was also in charge of Arkham at one point, most believe that he was the mastermind behind Scarecrow's fear toxins - Hi Nolan! - he's appeared on TV to "out" Batman as Bruce Wayne and he's also been known to be a closet-case Batman dresser. Plenty of paths to choose from and all could connect to one of Nolan's villains.
